Terms of Service & EULA

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Liminality ("we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Curtain macOS software ("Application") and website (getcurtain.app).

By downloading, installing, or using Curtain, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the Application.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase of a license, Liminality grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and execute the Application on Mac computers that you own or control for personal or internal commercial use, in accordance with these Terms.

A single purchase provides a lifetime license, which includes access to future minor and major software updates released for the Application.

3. License Restrictions

You agree that you will not:

  • Sell, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute, or transfer the Application or your license key to any third party.
  • Decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Application binary, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Circumvent, bypass, or disable any security or license-validation mechanism within the Application.
  • Use the Application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.

4. Free Trial

Curtain offers a timed 5-minute free trial so you can evaluate the Application before purchasing. When the trial period expires, the desktop icon hiding feature is automatically deactivated until a valid license key is activated.

5. Payments and Refunds

All transactions for the Application are handled by our Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), who processes payments, currency conversion, and global sales taxes / VAT.

  • Pricing: Pricing is displayed at checkout and is subject to local taxes based on your jurisdiction.
  • Refund Policy: If you are unsatisfied with Curtain or experience technical issues that cannot be resolved, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting [email protected] with your order number or email receipt. Upon refund, your license key will be deactivated.

6. Intellectual Property

The Application, including its design, interface, artwork, branding, and code, is the exclusive intellectual property of Liminality and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION AND WEBSITE ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE OPERATION OF THE APPLICATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL LIMINALITY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE APPLICATION.
